PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY – October 13, 2020 – According to an online news report on the DailyVoice.com, a pedestrian was severely injured after he was struck by a car in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, New York. The victim was walking along Route 112. The time of the accident was around 8 p.m.
According to the Suffolk County Police and the news report, a man was heading south along Route 112 and just north of Wilson Street. The driver was operating a 2015 Mitsubishi sedan. The sedan struck the pedestrian, according to the Suffolk County Police said.
The victim, a pedestrian walking along the highway, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital to receive emergency medical treatment of his severe personal injuries caused by the impact. The victim’s name has been withheld by law enforcement investigators until the victim’s next of kin is notified.
The accident investigators are asking the public to contact the Sixth Squad or Crime Stoppers if anyone has any information that can assist the detectives in their accident investigation.
