Pedestrian hit and run accident
LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK – According to an online news article published by www.longisland.com, a Glenwood Landing man has been arrested after striking 2 pedestrians with his vehicle and then leaving the scene of the accident.
Local police report that a 27-year-old Glenwood Landing man was involved in a pedestrian hit-and-run accident in Roslyn Harbor. The 27-year-old man was traveling eastbound on Scudders Lane in his 2014 Chevrolet Camaro when he struck 2 men, both aged 27, causing them to sustain serious injuries.
The Glenwood Landing man then fled the scene of the accident, leaving the pedestrians injured and in the street. Once emergency personnel became aware of the accident and arrived at the scene, the 2 victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of head injuries.
Police investigated the accident and were able to locate the 27-year-old Glenwood Landing man’s Camaro at a residence on Glenwood Road in Roslyn Harbor, where the man was arrested without incident. The man has been charged with 2 counts of leaving the scene of an accident with serious personal injury and was arraigned at First District Court.
How Fleeing the Scene of an Accident Can Worsen a Pedestrian’s Injuries
