Mossberg International, Inc. (“Mossberg”) has recently announced the voluntary recall of some of its Model SA-410 Shotguns after the discovery of a potential safety issue that could lead to personal injury.
According to Mossberg, if a user prematurely releases a shotshell while loading or unloading the SA-410 Shotgun, the unretained shotshell could contact the Bolt Lock Button inside the loading port and detonate.
This Recall Notice applies to Serial Numbers of the SA-410 Shotguns listed on the SA-410 Shotgun Recall Webpage (see link). Mossberg will mail an upgraded trigger group to the owners of the recalled models.
The SA-410, first offered by Mossberg in 2020, is a small-gauge autoloader. Described as lightweight and soft-shooting, the 410-gauge shotgun is commonly used for hunting and target shooting.
