QUEENS, NY – According to an online accident report posted on nydailynews.com, a 54-year-old woman described as a “selfless individual” was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident. The victim was riding home in the back of an Uber when she was tragically killed by a hit-and-run driver who is still on the loose.
The 50-year-old Uber driver was turning left onto 103rd Avenue from Rockaway Boulevard when his Toyota Camry was struck by a man operating a Lamborghini Urus SUV at approximately 7:05 in the evening. The impact caused the Lamborghini Urus SUV to overturn while the Toyota Camry came to rest on a sidewalk by a church. The Toyota Camry was described as a “twisted wreck.”
According to official police statements, the woman sustained severe head injuries and physical trauma to her entire body. She was transported to Jamaica Hospital to receive life-saving, emergency medical treatment. However, she tragically died due to the severity of her injuries.
Emergency medical services also transported the Uber driver to Jamaica Hospital. He is listed in stable medical condition. He sustained injuries to his head and leg.
According to the news report, the Lamborghini Urus SUV driver fled the scene of the fatal collision on foot. The report states that he left his passenger, a 26-year-old woman, at the accident scene. According to law enforcement officials, that passenger sustained serious head and spine injuries when the Lamborghini SUV flipped. EMS transported her to Jamaica Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.
