
Seven car accident
SOMERS, NEW YORK – August 17, 2020 – According to a news report on hamlethub.com, New York State Police responded to a seven-car accident at about 3:00 p.m. in Somers, New York. The car accident occurred at the intersection of State Route 35 and State Route 100.
According to the preliminary investigation by New York State Police, a box truck operated by a 26-year-old man from Bronx, New York, was heading westbound along State Route 35 when the truck allegedly crossed the double yellow line and hit a motor vehicle driven by a 54-year-old man from New York, New York. The vehicle driven by the 54-year-old New York City man then struck another motor vehicle.
The box truck then moved westbound and struck two additional motor vehicles that were parked along State Route 35. The box truck then overturned on the side of State Route 35. The driver of the box truck was taken to Westchester Medical Center, and the driver has non-life-threatening personal injuries. The 54-year-old New York City man was taken to Westchester Medical Center, and he is in critical condition. The accident is under investigation.
