YONKERS, NY- According to abc7ny.com, Thursday morning a van crashed over the side of an overpass and fell onto the Bronx River Parkway below. The van left skid marks on the overpass and left marks on the wall.
The driver of the van, Ui Duk Lee, 58, suffered only minor injuries in the accident. He was transported to the Jacobi Medical Center for treatment.
Lee is the owner of the Star City Grocery store, and his employees were left wondering what had happened to him when they arrived at the store and Lee had not opened yet.
The driver’s compartment of the van was only barely spared in the accident.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision and the cause of the crash is not yet known.
