A hit-and-run in the Bronx on Sunday killed one teenager and critically injured another.
The two teenagers were crossing Baychester Avenue just after 5 p.m. Sunday when they were struck by a Honda Accord traveling north, police said. One of the teens, 16-year-old Dylon Ramirez, was then hit by another car going south, CBS2 reports.
Both teenagers were taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where Ramirez was pronounced dead. The other person hit, a 15-year-old girl, is in critical condition, according to CBS2. Police said both drivers fled the accident scene but the driver of the Honda returned and was taken into custody. Shawn Williams, 26, was arrested and charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
