I Confess movie download . Citing recent FDA documents sent to Congress, the AP reported:

* The agency only performed approximately half of the promised state food safety audits in the two years prior to the recent, massive Salmonella outbreak linked to Peanut Corporation of America (PCA).

Drive-By Chronicles: Sidewayz release

* During the 2007 and 2008 budget years, the FDA did not conduct the required state-run food inspection audits in five states and was unable to confirm if audits were conducted in 11 others, including two states most seriously implicated in the historic peanut recall: Georgia and Texas.
* The FDA confirmed a mere 14 states realized 100 percent full audit completion.

* During 2006-2007 eight states were never audited.
* Audit information for 2007-2008 indicated state contract inspections totaled 10,218; however, a paltry 3.5 percent (358) audits occurred
* In 2007-2008, audits were not performed in California, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Wyoming; in 2006-2007, no audits were conducted in Arkansas, Maryland, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
* In 2006-2007, only nine percent of the promised audits were conducted in California, when an E. coli outbreak linked to spinach left over 200 sick and three dead.

FDA spokeswoman Susan Cruzan said the agency is “evaluating approaches” for audits, reported the AP. FDA audits are integral to ensuring food is correctly inspected, the AP pointed out.

Many of the problems seen in the FDA in recent years have been blamed on the former Bush administration. The agency was accused of being corrupt, and criticized over a wide variety of issues, conflicts, and failures. In the weeks before President Obama transitioned into office, scientists at the FDA wrote to Obama’s transition team basically begging for help and outlining a number of problems with an agency they described as “fundamentally broken,” reported The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) at the time.

Rats – Notte di terrore dvdrip Woodstock movie download The enormous PCA Salmonella outbreak that sickened many hundreds and was linked to eight deaths prompted Obama to order a “complete review” of the FDA, according to an interview with Today Show’s Matt Lauer earlier this year. Obama said at the time the PCA Salmonella outbreak was just the most recent in an array of “instances over the last several years” in which “the FDA has not been able to catch some of these things as quickly as I expect them to.” Today noted that critics routinely pointed to the recent Bush administration as having “crippled” the FDA with eight years of budget cuts and a refusal to conduct an overhaul of the failing agency.
