Foamorder.com, of San Francisco, California, has issued a <“https://www.yourlawyer.com/practice_areas/product_liability”>recall for about 140 of its Natural Sense Foam Blocks with Cotton Cover (Mattresses), the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) just announced.
The recall has been implemented because the foam blocks with cotton covers, which are intended for use as mattresses, fail to meet the mandatory federal open flame standard for mattresses, posing a fire hazard to consumers. To date, no incidents or injuries have been reported.
This recall involves the Natural Sense Foam Blocks with Cotton Covers intended for use as a mattress and which are comprised of a foam block sold in the following sizes:
* Twin: 38 inches by 75 inches
* Twin Long: 38 inches by 80 inches
* Full: 53 inches by 75 inches
* Full Long: 53 inches by 80 inches
* Queen: 60 inches by 80 inches
* California King (C. King): 72 inches by 84 inches
* Eastern King (E. King): 76 inches by 80 inches
The recalled Foamorder.com Natural Sense Foam Blocks with Cotton Cover mattresses were manufactured in the United States and were sold online at www.foamorder.com from July 2007 through May 2009 for between $225 and $1,420.
The CPSC is advising consumers to immediately contact Foamorder.com to determine if their mattress is included in the recall, and if it is, to receive a free additional cover to be placed over their mattress. Foam mattresses with a cover containing a gold ribbon pattern and a label stating “This mattress meets the requirements of 16 CFR Part 1633 (federal flammability (open flame) standard for mattress sets) when used without a foundation or with foundations†are not included in this recall.
