The mattresses fail to meet the federal mandatory open flame standard for mattresses, posing a fire hazard to consumers. To date, no incidents or injuries have been reported.
This recall involves IKEA Sultan Heidal spring mattresses sold in sizes twin, full, queen, and king. Mattresses included in this recall are date stamped 0725 through 1014 (YYWW). Sultan Heidal, the supplier number, and the date stamp are located on a label attached to the mattress. Article numbers included in the recall are below. The Supplier Number in all cases is 20520:
• Twin Mattress Size: Article Number 701-095-77
• Full Mattress Size: Article Number 301-109-69
• Queen Mattress Size: Article Number 501-109-73
• King Mattress Size: Article Number 901-109-71
The recalled IKEA Sultan Heidal Spring Mattresses, which were manufactured in Mexico, were sold exclusively at IKEA stores nationwide from June 2007 through April 2010 for between $500 and $1,000.
