The CPSC is advising consumers to stop using recalled products immediately and notes that it is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
The shoelace toggles can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. To date, no incidents or injuries have been reported.
This recall involves Meijer Falls Creek infant boy casual shoes with bungee laces and toggles. The brown leather shoes were sold in infant sizes five to 10 and have “Falls Creek†imprinted on the bottom of the shoe.
The recalled Falls Creek Infant Boy Shoes, which were manufactured in China, were sold for about $15 at Meijer stores nationwide from July 2010 through September 2010.
The CPSC is advising consumers to immediately take the recalled shoes from children. Consumers can remove and discard the toggles to eliminate the hazard or return the product to any Meijer store for a full refund.
