The CPSC is alerting consumers to stop using the recalled products immediately and notes that it is illegal to resell or to attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
The handle can come loose from the body of the Kitchentrend Stainless Steel Carafes, causing liquid to spill, and posing a burn hazard to consumers. To date, no incidents or injuries have been reported.
This recall involves the Kitchentrend 1-liter stainless steel carafes with model number P0930-X02. The insulated carafe has a chrome-plated plastic top with a black plastic base and is lined with glass. “Kitchentrend” and the model number can be found on the packaging.
The recalled Kitchentrend Stainless Steel Carafes, which were manufactured in China, were sold at Macy’s & Macys.com from September 2010 through October 2010 for about $20.
The CPSC is advising consumers to stop using the recalled Kitchentrend Stainless Steel Carafe immediately and return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.
