Wagner Spray Tech Paint Sprayers
Wagner Spray Tech Corp., of Plymouth, Minnesota has recalled about 35,000 Paint Sprayers due to electrical shock hazard because the on-off switch can be dislodged from the casing, resulting in exposure of electrical connections. This can pose an electrical shock hazard to the consumer. The recall includes the Wagner Control Spray Plus Model 0414248, which was manufactured in China. The model number can be found on a white label located on the side of the motor housing. Date codes Y182R thru Y365R, Z001R thru Z366R, and A001R thru A021R are affected by this recall and can be found stamped on the bottom of the motor housing near the air hose connection. The recalled Wagner Spray Tech Corp. Paint Sprayers were sold at major chain home centers and hardware stores nationwide from August 2007 through April 2009 for about $99.

Ambler Mountain Works Children’s Knitted Hats
Ambler Mountain Works of Canmore, Alberta, Canada issued a recall for about 370 of its Erwin Beanie and Poseidon Beanie Children’s Knitted Hats due to a choking hazard. The recall was issued because the eyeballs on the Erwin Beanie and the octopus legs on the Poseidon Beanie can come loose, posing a potential choking hazard. The firm is aware of one incident involving the detachment of the legs of the octopus.
The Erwin Beanie, which was manufactured in Nepal, is knitted primarily in green and white yarn to configure a frog with white eyeballs and a red smile. The Poseidon Beanie comes in several colors of yarn and has hand-sewn turtles, whales, and octopus attached to the beanie. The beanies have the firm’s logos “Ambler†or “A†printed on a fabric tag and were sold at specialty sports and ski shops nationwide from September 2008 through November 2008 for about $30.
The CPSC is advising consumers to either immediately stop using the beanies and return them to Ambler Mountain for a free product replacement or cut off the frog’s eyes and the octopus legs and permanently dispose of them.
