IMI Cornelius, of Osseo, Minnesota, has recalled about 14,000 Quest Commercial Juice Dispensers due to <"https://www.yourlawyer.com/practice_areas/product_liability">fire hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) just announced.
The fraying of wiring within the wiring harness can cause the Quest Commercial Juice Dispenser’s transformer to overheat, posing a fire hazard. To date, IMI Cornelius has received one report of a transformer smoldering and smoking. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
The recalled commercial juice dispensers contain two or four dispensing valves with an illuminated or opaque rounded front cover. Dispensers with serial numbers starting with the following characters are included in this recall. The serial number can be found on the inside of the front door of the dispenser:

The recalled, defective Quest Commercial Juice Dispensers, which were manufactured in the United States, were sold to commercial customers for installation in hospitality and other food service establishments nationwide from February 2001 through August 2006. The recalled Quest Commercial Juice Dispensers cost about $2,000 for the two-flavor unit and about $3,200 for the four-flavor unit.
The CPSC is advising customers to unplug the recalled Quest Commercial Juice Dispenser, open its door, and inspect the wire harness in the bottom left corner of the cabinet. If the colored wiring is cut or cracked, customers are advised to stop using the unit and contact IMI Cornelius. IMI Cornelius is contacting all customers directly to provide a free repair kit.
