BBU, Inc, of Horsham, Pennsylvania, the parent of the Bimbo Bakeries companies is recalling several brands of fresh bagels because of the possible presence of metal fragments caused by a faulty manufacturing part.
To date, no reports of injury have been associated with the consumption of these products.
The recalled products include Thomas’ Bagels in 1-pound, 4-ounce packages sold in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. The varieties include Everything Bagels, Blueberry Bagels, Onion Bagels, Plain Bagels, Cinnamon Raisin Bagels, Hearty Grains 100% Whole Wheat Bagels, Cinnamon Swirl Bagels, and Honey Wheat Bagels.
Also recalled are Sara Lee Deluxe Bagels in 20-ounce packages, sold in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Flavors include Honey Wheat, Plain, Blueberry, and Cinnamon Raisin.
The Publix Premium Bagels are sold in 20-ounce packages in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Recalled flavors include Original Bagels, Multi-Grain Bagels, and Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bagels. Weight Watchers 6 Original Bagels in 15-ounce packages have also been recalled were sold in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
All of the recalled products have “Best Buy” dates of “Jan 18” to “Jan 27” stamped on the lock tab bag closure.
