A retired Roman Catholic priest already facing two charges of sex abuse has been accused of fondling a 16-year-old mother after she gave birth at a city hospital 46 years ago.
The Rev. Raymond DuMouchel, 78, has been charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
DuMouchel touched the girl’s breast and kissed her against her will on at least three occasions at St. Francis Hospital in 1957, police said.
Magistrate Jack Guedalia released the priest on $50,000 personal recognizance bond at a bail hearing Thursday.
DuMouchel was charged in November with committing a lewd act on a child and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
He is accused of fondling a 12-year-old girl on at least three occasions in 1955 at the Cathedral Grammar School. He is also accused of fondling a girl who was 17 or 18 years old on at least three occasions at St. Francis.
