BRP Ski-Doo Expedition 900 ACE Snowmobile Recalls
According to a recall announcement from the Consumer Product Safety Commission, BRP has issued a recall of their 2022 Ski-Doo Expedition 900 ACE Snowmobiles due to an accident hazard. The recall alert states that the defective 2022 Ski-Doo Expedition 900 ACE snowmobiles have a speedometer that may display only half of the vehicle’s actual speed causing the operator to lose control and crash, resulting in injury or death.
The recall affects about 400 snowmobiles. This snowmobile recall includes Ski-Doo 2022 Expedition, Renegade, Grand Touring, Tundra, and Skandic snowmobiles. The snowmobiles were sold in several different colors. According to the recall announcement, the word “Ski-Doo” and the snowmobile’s model name is printed on the vehicle’s side panels. The snowmobile’s vehicle identification number (VIN) is printed on a decal that is located on the right-hand side of a tunnel located under the seat. The following snowmobiles are being recalled:
- 2022 Ski-Doo Expedition 600 ACE
- 2022 Ski-Doo Expedition 900 ACE
- 2022 Ski-Doo Grand Touring 600 ACE

Customers who purchased recalled snowmobiles may coordinate a repair with their local Ski-Doo dealer. BRP is contacting known purchasers directly. BRP has received four incident reports of the recalled speedometers not displaying the correct snowmobile speed.
The recalled Ski-Doos were sold nationwide from June 2021 until December 2021. The snowmobiles were manufactured in Canada and were imported by BRP U.S. Inc. in Sturtevant, Wisconsin.
