B. Toys Walk ‘n’ Learn Walker Recall
According to a recall notice published by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, B. toys Walk ‘n’ Learn Wooden Activity Toddler Walkers are being recalled due to the risk of choking. The B. toys Wooden Activity Walker – Walk’ n’ Learn was distributed by Maison Battat and were recalled on March 16, 2022. The recall announcement states that the wheels and wheel attachment hardware might detach, causing small pieces to fall off of the wooden walker, posing a potentially deadly choking hazard to small children.
The recall affects approximately 17,000 wooden walkers in the United States. Canada is recalling around 2,400 wooden walkers. The recalled product is described as a wooden activity walker that has blue wheels, yellow sides, and activity features on the front. The recalled wooden walker has “B. toys Walk ‘n’ Learn” printed on the walker and the walker’s packaging. The wooden walkers were sold at Target stores nationwide and at both Amazon.com and Target.com from September 2020 until November 2021 at a price of $36. The recalled product was manufactured in China. The Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall number for this recall is 22-103
According to the recall announcement, those who purchased the recalled wooden walkers should immediately remove the walker from small children and contact the company, Battat, to receive a free repair kit, including attachment hardware, replacement wheels, and installation instructions. The company states that all known purchasers would be contacted directly.
Battat has reported that they have received six reports of the attachment hardware and wheels detaching. One report also shows a small child placing a detached metal nut in their mouth.
