Pacifiers By Gromex Are Being Recalled. Infant pacifiers that pose a choking hazard are being recalled by Gromex Inc., of Passaic, N.J. According to the Consumer Products Safety Commission, the recall involves around 700 Jaloma Pacifier that were sold at retail stores in New York and New Jersey.
This pacifier has a ring-shaped handle and a round-shaped mouth guard with two ventilation holes. “Jaloma” is printed on the handle side of the mouth guard and the nipple has a gel-like liquid inside. They were sold from February 2008 through March 2009 for about $1.
Pacifiers Mouth Guard And Ventilation Holes Are Too Small
According to the recall notice, the Jaloma pacifiers’ mouth guard and the ventilation holes are too small and fail to meet federal safety standards. The pacifier could pose a choking and aspiration hazard to young children. No injuries have been reported so far.
