According to a recall notice published by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Escalade Sports has initiated a recall of its tennis tables due to ·” all and injury” dangers. The tennis tables were sold exclusively at Target stores and online. The recall announcement states the recalled tennis tables might collapse when users lean on the table, resulting in injuries.
This recall affects Escalade Sports Ping-Pong T8482F 4-piece AVENGER Table Tennis tables. When the tables are extended, the table measures 60-inches wide and 108-inches long. When folded, the tables measure 22-inches wide and 60-inches long. The tables have a mesh net measuring 60 inches in length. To find the table’s model number, locate the label under the ping-pong table. The word “PING-PONG” is painted on the table.
Customers who have a recalled tennis table should stop using the table and contact Escalade Sports to receive a free repair kit with installation instructions, or they may receive a full refund.
Escalade Sports has received around 78 incident reports describing the tables collapsing according to the recall announcement. There have been four reports of injuries caused by the defective table.
