On Thursday, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission shared in a news release that the game, which features wooden parts with metal rivets controlled by a magnet-tipped fishing line, presents a choking risk when a small metal rivet becomes dislodged. Approximately 25,000 game units are affected by the recall.
The CPSC reported that IKEA was informed of four instances of rivets separating from the wooden elements. At this time, there are no incidents in the U.S. needing medical intervention were reported, according to the recall notice provided by the agency.
The game was available for purchase at IKEA stores and on their website from October 2022 to March 2023, as stated by the CPSC.
