Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer Lawsuit
According to a recall notice on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s website, Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer lotion is being recalled due to possible bacterial contamination. Kao USA issued an expanded voluntary recall of the company’s Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer to include more additional lots of the lotion.
A few weeks ago, Kao USA reported that some of the recalled lotions showed the existence of Pluralibacter gergoviae. Pluralibacter gergoviae is a dangerous bacterium that usually poses a small health risk to healthy individuals. However, those with health issues such as weakened immune systems are more sensitive to infections, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s recall announcement.
Kao USA stated that it would continue to investigate the issue that is still continuing. Kao USA Inc. promptly issued the voluntary recall of the affected products by pulling the affected products from warehouses and retailers to make sure the product was taken off of store shelves.
The recall only affects the three-ounce and ten-ounce bottles. The recalled lotion was made between October 1, 2021, through October 18, 2021. The 3-ounce size lot codes include:
