Mineral solution warning
Anyone who takes a so-called “miracle” solution to cure anything must stop doing so immediately. According to the website Moms.com, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration explained that drinking any of these miracle potions is the equivalent of drinking bleach. These unregulated drinks could cause internal injuries, organ failure, and even kill an unsuspecting consumer. The acting commissioner of the FDA said that no parent should give any of these potions to their children under any circumstances.
Products like Miracle Mineral Solution share an ingredient in common with chlorine bleach. Back in 2010, the FDA identified sodium chlorite as a chemical that is so powerful that workers use it in pesticides and the treatment of sewer water. The FDA described sodium chlorite as an “industrial strength” chemical. Drinking the chemical can have irreversible consequences. However, unscrupulous marketers preying on the fragile emotional state of people suffering from cancer or who have children on the autism spectrum tout their magic elixirs as a cure-all. They are not. These drinks are cleaning solutions mixed with lemon or lime to cover the taste. Sodium chlorite becomes chlorine dioxide, or household bleach when combined with acid from citrus fruit.
One of the products that use sodium chlorite is known as MMS. According to Moms.com, the website selling MMS claims over 23 million people have used the solution to cleanse their body and help “align” the body. The purveyor of MMS claims that the solution oxidizes the body that kills pathogens and eliminates poisonous material in the body. There is no scientific proof to support that claim despite proclamations on the MMS webpage that the product has improved people’s lives for over 20 years. The website even claims to have saved lives. Despite these claims, the owners of the website have refused to respond to media inquiries according to Moms.com.
