Nuk Baby Bottle Lead Poising Lawsuit Lawyers
According to the nypost.com, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announce the recall of Nuk baby bottles sold on Amazon.com. The baby bottles are being recalled due to dangerous levels of lead. The Nuk baby bottles are sold exclusively on Amazon.com.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall announcement states that the NUK baby bottles have markings on the outside of the bottles and these markings contained lead over the federal limit. The CPSC also stated that lead is toxic and when lead is consumed by young children, they can suffer adverse health issues.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission reported that the recalled bottles were sold in the United States and Canada. The purchases occurred between January 2018 and May 2022 at a cost of $20 per unit. The CPSC also stated that the products were made for the United Kingdom market and were not intended to be retailed in the United States. The product is designed to be used by newborns to very young babies.
The CPSC said that the glass bottles have a latex teat and is intended for babies 0 to 6 months. The bottle’s brand name “NUK” is printed on the bottle with white lettering, and has a graduated volume scale in white markings, and gray and white stars printed on the outside of the baby bottles.
The CPSC is urging customers to contact NUK for instructions on how to return the item and obtain a refund. Astir Care, the Amazon seller, is contacting its customers to return the product.
NUK can be contacted through the company’s website under the “recall” page. The CPSC stated that no injuries have been reported at this time.
