According to a news story posted on bestlifeonline.com, Nutracap Holdings has initiated a voluntary recall of six supplements that have dangerous, undisclosed ingredients. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the affected supplements contained and did not disclose milk, wheat, coconut oil, and soy on the products’ labels.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stated that people who are allergic to these undisclosed ingredients might face a “life-threatening allergic reaction” should they unknowingly consume the recalled supplements because of the ingredient labeling errors. An inspection uncovered the labeling issue had occurred over the past sixteen months.
The FDA notified Nutracap Holdings of the issue on November 4, 2021, following the agency’s routine inspection of the company’s supplements. The affected products were shipped to retailers and distributors in California, Florida, Texas, and Alabama between June 4, 2020, and October 1, 2021. Fortunately, there have not been any illnesses yet reported as a result of the labeling issue.
The affected products include:
The FDA recall announcement urges purchasers to throw away the products or return the products at the store purchased to receive a full refund.
The FDA also ordered distributors and retailers who receive the affected products to inspect their inventories and immediately stop selling the recalled products. Also, the FDA is asking retailers to contact and warn customers who purchase the affected products.
