Jalapeno Bagels Contain Pieces of Glass. Publix is recalling its jalapeno bagels because they may contain pieces of glass and small stones. According to a press release posted on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) website, the bagels were distributed to Publix stores located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. The recall does not affect Publix stores located in Tennessee and North Carolina.
The bagels were sold either in the artisan cases in the bakery department or in the self-service bins. The supplier informed Publix that the jalapeno bagels may contain glass and small stones, the release states.
