Sony Recall Cyber-Shot Cameras. Japanese electronics giant Sony Corp. said Wednesday it was recalling popular Cyber-shot digital cameras sold worldwide to repair potential battery-related problems.
The problem surfaced after users complained about unusually short battery life of Cyber-shot DSC-P1 cameras, Sony said in a statement published on its official Website.
Sony Refused To Disclose The Number Of Recall
Sony spokeswoman Mami Imada refused to disclose the number of recalls. An estimated 500,000 units have been sold worldwide, including Japan and the United States, since it hit the market in October 2000.
