NHTSA Investigating Daimlerchrysler Minivans Defective Headlights. The NHTSA has upgraded its investigation (begun in February 2005) involving 675 complaints and 35,000 warranty claims related to defective headlights in 2001 and 2002 Dodge Caravan and Grand Caravan, Plymouth Voyager and Grand Voyager, and Chrysler Town and Country and Voyager minivans. The investigation covers some 813,597 vehicles.
Headlights Are Flickering, Dimming And Shutting Down
The reports include complaints that headlights are flickering, dimming, and even shutting down. In some cases the affected vehicle has had to be towed. DaimlerChrysler declined to comment on the matter. The NHTSA has not determined if a recall will be ordered with respect to these problems.
