WORX Pressure Washer Injury Lawsuits
According to a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recall alert, WORX Brand has issued a recall of its 13 Amp 1900 PSI Electric Pressure Washers due to an unsafe defect. The CPSC recall notice states that the
recalled electric pressure washer’s sprayer hose may separate from the unit’s spray wand while in use, causing impact injuries to users or people near the unit.
The recalled WORX® 13 Amp 1900 PSI electric pressure washer was recalled on February 10, 2022, and the recall affects approximately 17,630 pressure washers. Purchasers should stop using the defective pressure washers and contact Positec USA for more information.
To see if your WORX brand 13 Amp 1900 PSI electric pressure washer is part of the recall, locate the unit’s model number. Only pressure washers with the model number “WG606” are being recalled at this time. The pressure washers are orange and gray and have the “WORX” name and “Electric Pressure Washer” printed on the front and its handle. The recalled pressure units have a serial number ranging from 20210200078905 to 20210200096490 and 20210200097286 to 20210200097881. The unit’s serial number is located on the product’s main body on the back of the pressure washer’s soap tank.
Customers with a recalled pressure washer should immediately stop using the washers and contact Positec USA to receive instructions on how to return the spray wand and receive a free replacement spray wand. Once the product has been verified by Positec USA, the company will send the consumer a prepaid shipping label to return the recalled the wand.
Positec has admitted that they have received 61 spray hose and wand separation event. There have been four injury reports.
