NEW YORK, N.Y. — Three women have sued the Estate of Jeffrey Epstein claiming that he raped them according to a report appearing on WDTV. The three women, all of whom filed separate causes of action against the estate, claim that he raped them and forced them to provide sexually charged messages and other unspecified acts while they were 17 and 20 years-of-age, respectively. All three matters were filed in the federal court located in Manhattan.
Jeffrey Epstein has been at the center of the country’s attention after he committed suicide while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. Epstein was reportedly connected to some of the biggest names in American and international politics despite being a convicted sex offender.
The plaintiffs allege that Epstein sexually assaulted each of them separately, yet the offensive conduct cited is similar in many respects. They claim he coerced them into performing sex acts and giving him sensual massages. Additionally, each woman said that he touted his political clout and business connections to seduce them to do his bidding with the expectation that he would take care of them in one way or another. One of the accusers claimed that he preyed upon her while he was on work release from a federal prison in Florida and then continued to engage in sexually explicit acts with her while he was on supervised release from the federal correctional facility.
Technically, Epstein received a 13-month committed sentence for sexual deviancy that made him a registered sex offender. Notwithstanding his incarcerated status, work release enabled him to pursue young women according to the WDTV report.
These three lawsuits filed are the first in what experts expect will be a slew of allegations concerning Epstein. The state of New York opened its courts to victims of sex offenses whose cases were barred by statutes of limitations for the next year. Experts also say that Epstein created a will two days before his suicide and file it in the Virgin Islands, which could complicate matters for the victims seeking damages from his estate estimated to be worth over $550 million.
