Bus-Car Crash in Brooklyn Injured 23 People. Police report that an accident in Brooklyn, New York involving an MTA bus and two cars injured 23 people, three of them critically.
The accident happened on Wednesday just before 4 p.m. at Utica Ave. and Clarendon Rd. in East Flatbush, according to the New York Daily News. A Nissan Altima coming out of a parking lot was struck by a BMW heading south on Utica Ave. Officials said the collision pushed the BMW into the path of an oncoming B46 bus.
Car Crash Into The Front Corner Of The Bus
The car crashed into the front corner of the bus on the driver’s side, and the impact crumpled the front end of the car, injuring four men inside. The men were taken to Kings County Hospital, where three of them were listed in critical condition, the Daily News reports.
The bus driver was hospitalized with minor injuries and a woman in the Altima was taken to Kings County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Sixteen of the bus’s passengers were treated at the scene.
