Former New Mexico Priest Faces New ChargesAug 28, 2002 | TheNewMexicoChannel.com
A former New Mexico priest now faces new charges of criminal sexual conduct.
Jason Sigler, once a patient at the Servants of the Paraclete Treatment Center in Jemez Springs, is among four former priests now facing sex charges in Detroit, Mich.
All of the counts against Sigler and the other priests involve boys that were 14-years-old and younger at the time of the alleged incidents, and span three decades from the 1960s to the 1980s.
In New Mexico, the Archdiocese paid an estimated $50 million to settle about 45 lawsuits alleging sexual abuse by Sigler.
