BRONX, NY – August 18, 2020 – According to an online news report posted on NorwoodNews.org, a woman was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident with a taxi cab on Dekalb Avenue and East Gun Hill Road in Bronx, New York. The FDNY emergency responders arrived at the scene of the accident and helped to extract the injured woman from her blue Honda Civic. The motor vehicle accident occurred in the Norwood neighborhood of the Bronx.
Police officers and fire officials responded to the accident that occurred at approximately 8:55 am on August 16, 2020. One eyewitness to the motor vehicle accident stated in the news report that the accident between the blue Honda Civic and a taxi cab caused severe facial injuries to the woman due to her car’s airbag deploying. According to the FDNY, the victim was taken by EMS to the North Central Bronx Hospital. The news report states that the woman’s personal injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. One eyewitness stated that the woman suffered facial injuries, and she appeared to be in shock.
The taxi driver waited at the car accident scene as law enforcement officers executed an accident report. The accident scene was cleaned up, and both vehicles were removed after about two hours after the accident.
