The crash closed down South MacDill Avenue in both directions between Bay to Bay Boulevard to El Prado Boulevard. Julia Street was also shut down. The closures impacted Thursday morning rush hour, and commuters were advised to find alternate routes to avoid the scene of the crash.

One frequent cause of rollovers is drivers who attempt to correct when they begin to veer from the road but oversteer and jerk their vehicle in the opposite direction. This action can cause vehicles to flip. It is better to slow down gradually.
