Five injured in a two vehicle accident
LONG ISLAND, NY – June 29, 2020 – According to an online news report published on DailyVoice.com, five people were seriously injured in a traffic accident in Brightwaters, Long Island, New York. The car accident occurred near a Long Island intersection at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2020. in Brightwaters.
The news report states that a 21-year-old man from West Babylon, New York, was operating a Hyundai sedan. The man was traveling on Montauk Highway, close to South Bay Avenue, in a westbound direction. Suffolk County Police state that the motor vehicle swerved into oncoming traffic and hit an eastbound Dodge Ram. The Hyundai front-seat passenger, a 22-year-old woman from Bethpage, sustained injuries and was taken to South Side Hospital in Bay Shore, New York. According to police, a 21-year-old man who was riding in the backseat also sustained injuries and was taken to South Side Hospital in Bay Shore for medical treatment.
The Dodge Ram truck driver, a 25-year-old man from East Islip, New York, and his passenger, a 24-year-old female front-seat passenger, were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, New York for treatment of personal injuries the two sustained in the accident.
The accident is currently being investigated by law enforcement.
