Manhattan, NY – According to an online news report from NYDailyNews.com, law enforcement accident investigators are investigating a tragic, fatal accident that involved a motorcyclist who was riding on the southbound Henry Hudson Parkway close to 125th Street in Manhattan, New York. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist was killed when he was thrown off of his motorcycle when involved in an accident and then was fatally struck by a motorist driving an SUV along Henry Hudson Parkway in Harlem last Sunday night, according to statements made by the local police.
The motorcyclist was on the southbound Henry Hudson Parkway, close W. 139th Street at approximately 8:10 p.m. when the motorcyclist and a minivan bumped into each other according to police. According to the police, the motorcyclist was then thrown off of his motorcycle and was then struck by a Toyota Highlander, which was also heading southbound along the parkway. The police stated in the article that the motorcyclist was killed on impact with the SUV.
The drivers of the motor vehicles involved in the accident remained at the accident scene until law enforcement arrived. The news report states that the police handling the investigation do not suspect there was any criminal act or foul play that caused the accident. At this time, there have been no arrests made, and the motorcycle accident remains under investigation. The police have not released any information about the motorcyclist´s age or name.
