BETHPAGE, New York — Shrieks of horror, the wail of emergency sirens, and the drone of an emergency helicopter distributed a normally quiet neighborhood in Bethpage, New York. The Key News Network reported that a young child sustained severe injuries after a motor vehicle struck the child while trying to cross the street. The child suffered extensive injuries and needed to be airlifted from the scene of the accident to a nearby trauma center for emergency medical care. There is no update available on the child’s condition, who was listed in serious condition at the hospital.
