
Truck-Pedestrian Accident in Brooklyn
BROOKLYN, NY – According to an online news report on amny.com, a woman has passed away from her accident injuries. The report states that the victim was struck by a pickup truck while she was trying to cross 16th Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.
The NYPD reacted to a 911 call concerning the incident at 10:05 in the morning. Upon arriving at the accident scene, responding law enforcement officers discovered a 69-year-old man in the area of 85th Street and 16th Avenue.
A preliminary accident investigation discovered that the victim was trying to cross 16th Avenue when she was struck by a 2021 Dodge Ram pick-up truck that was heading west along 85th Street. As the Dodge Ram pick-up truck turned left onto 16th Avenue. The accident victim was transported to Maimonides Hospital, where the victim tragically passed away. The news report stated that the victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
The pick-up truck driver, a 36-year-old man, remained at the accident scene following the accident. No criminal charges have been filed at this time. The accident is currently under investigation. No further details were provided at this time.
