NYPD car severely injured Bronx pedestrian

According to an online news report posted by NYDailyNews.com, a young girl was attempting to cross a street and was struck by an NYPD patrol car. The pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Seneca Avenue and Hunts Point Avenue in Bronx, New York. The pedestrian accident happened Wednesday evening. The report states that witnesses of the accident stated to the Daily News that the young girl walked off a traffic island, and a police car that was heading east on Hunts Point Avenue in Hunts Point struck the child. The accident happened around after 7 p.m. The report states that the law enforcement officer attempted to veer out of the path of the child but was unsuccessful.

The patrol car struck the little girl and knocked her to the ground, according to a 61-year-old woman who witnessed the accident. The witness also stated that the accident “could have killed her.” The witness also stated that the child never lost consciousness and that she was screaming, and the child suffered a lot of pain. The witness stated that the little girl’s leg appeared to be severely injured and that the child was also bleeding from her mouth.

The news article stated that the police officer who was driving the patrol car and who had struck the girl tried to help the girl to her feet. A crowd of onlookers shouted to the police officer that he should not be moving the accident victim. The witness also stated that the police officer seemed upset, rattled, and he was even shaking.

A 34-year-old nurse, from the Bronx, stated in the news article that she attempted to back the crowd away from the accident scene so that the child’s mother could come to be at her child’s side. The mother lived close to the scene of the pedestrian accident. The child stated that she wanted to go to her home. Emergency medical technicians arrived at the scene and transported the child to the Harlem Hospital, according to a spokesperson for the FDNY.
