Central Park West Intersection Bicycle Accident
New York City, New York- A news article posted on westsiderag.com states that a cyclist was struck by a car at approximately 10:45 PM last Saturday night. The bicycle accident occurred at the intersection of W. 65th St. and Central Park West. According to the NYPD, the motorist was driving southbound along Central Park West. The driver then attempted to turn left onto W. 65th St. when his car in the bicyclist collided. An NYPD spokesperson reported that the bicyclist sustained severe injuries to his arm, head, face, and leg. The motor vehicle also sustained minor damage.
An eyewitness to the bicycle-vehicle accident stated that they were walking along Central Park West at the moment of the collision. The witness stated that the area was dangerously dark at that time since the closest street lamp was “super dim “and the other street lamp was completely out. According to the eyewitness, the motorist was driving a black car, and the bicyclist was wearing a black hoodie and operating a black bicycle. Yeah, I witness stated that after the collision, the cyclist was thrown about 15 feet and that he sustained a broken arm and a broken leg. According to the witness, she had previously reported the lamp outage 2311, and she was advised that it would take up to 30 days to fix.
