BROOKLYN, NEW YORK – A news article published on abc7ny.com reports that four people were injured when an MTA bus collided with a light pole in Brooklyn. According to the FDNY, an MTA bus collided with a pole on Flatbush Avenue, causing four people to sustain injuries. A total of 21 occupants on the MTA bus were removed from the bus following the accident.
Con Edison reported that approximately 17 people were out of electrical power service due to the accident causing several downed power lines. Power was restored around 8 PM.
NYPD officers reported that a grey Toyota was involved in the accident, but no additional details were provided.
One of the accident victims was transported to a local area hospital, and three other people, including the driver, received treatment at the scene. The accident is currently under investigation, and there is no additional information to report at this time.
