Dangerous roadways

USA- Insider.com writes that not all roads are equal when it comes to the risk of crashes. Studies have identified some of the most dangerous places to drive in the nation and where motorists would be wise to stay alert and cautious.

Dalton Highway in Alaska made the top ten thanks to its steep grades, and 240 miles of territory without a single gas station restaurant or other sign of civilization. If that does not sound terrifying enough, the road also presents the risk of avalanches.

Interstate 15 in Nevada once ranked as the deadliest roadway in the nation. Between Las Vegas and Los Angeles, 1,069 people died on the interstate over a fifteen-year period.

Colorado’s Million Dollar Highway is not for the faint of heart. The road rounds sharp curves past steep cliffsides and has no guardrails in place. Montana’s Highway 2 also takes motorists through the mountains, and drivers travel long distances between towns. If something does go wrong, help will not arrive quickly. Ambulances take an average of 80 minutes to make it the scene of an accident on the highway.

Interstate 45 in Houston may not be a remote destination, but with a crash fatality rate of 56.5 per 100 miles, the interstate is the second deadliest in the country.

Interstate 10 in Arizona takes drivers through the desert. In one year alone, the stretch between Phenix to the border of California experienced 85 deaths.

Highway 1 in Florida has the nation’s highest number of deadly crashes per mile. In one decade, 1,079 people were killed on the highway.

Atlanta’s Interstate 285 is deadly in part because of the city’s terrible traffic and congestion. The road also is full of interchanges, sharp turns, and big rig trucks.

In South Carolina, Highway 17 might be beautiful, but the tree-lined roads create poor visibility, and drivers often end up making blind turns around the road’s curves. Wildlife is also plentiful on the highway, meaning a deer could jump in front of your car at any moment.

I am more than satisfied with Parker Waichman, especially my attorney Shelly Davis. They literally made this difficult process effortless for me. I was kept informed immediately as soon as they were informed. The process went much faster than I thought it would and that is directly a result of Parker Waichman staying on top of my case. I would highly recommend this firm, they don,t treat you as a case they treat you as a person in need of assistance.
