JAMAICA, QUEENS, NY – According to an online news report published on abc7ny.com a man has been arrested after causing a fatal accident while driving while intoxicated. The driver faces criminally negligent homicide, driving while intoxicated, and assault criminal charges after causing a fatal crash that took the lives of a mother and her daughter in Queens, New York.
Law enforcement officers are accusing the 42-year-old suspect of driving his vehicle at a high rate of speed along Rockaway Boulevard at around 8:45 in the evening and colliding with the victims’ Chevy Cruze. Police stated that the suspect was making a left turn onto northbound Guy R Brewer Boulevard from the eastbound lanes of Rockaway Boulevard.
The victim was on her way to pick up her husband from work. However, her husband noticed that something was wrong. The husband was tracking his wife’s progress on his cellphone when the family car stopped and did not continue to move. The husband walked to where the car was located and saw the tragic accident. He discovered that his family had been rushed to Jamaica Hospital due to severe accident injuries.
Tragically, they were pronounced deceased.
