THE BRONX, NY – A news report posted on nydailynews.com, a 29-year-old man from the Bronx died in a motorcycle accident that occurred only a few blocks from his home. The motorcycle rider hit a motor vehicle that was attempting to make a left-hand turn.
The motorcyclist was heading along Bailey Avenue by W. 229th Street in Kingsbridge Heights at approximately 11:15 PM. For some unknown reason, the motorcycle crossed over the road’s double yellow line and with oncoming traffic approaching.
The motorcycle collided with a Toyota Corolla in the southbound traffic lane. He was thrown off of his motorcycle. Emergency first responders discovered the biker on the street. He sustained severe injuries to his body and head. EMS transported the man to Saint Barnabas Hospital, but he tragically passed away.
According to local law enforcement officers, the 31-year-old man who was driving the Honda Corolla stayed at the accident scene. He was transported to Saint Barnabas due to pain. The Corolla driver was taken into police custody for attempting to make a left-hand turn from the right lane. Criminal charges were pending.
