BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN, NY – A news story posted on pix11.com reports that NYPD detectives have launched an investigation into a Brooklyn motorcycle accident. The report states that a motorcyclist was left for dead after his motorcycle collided with a sedan that fled the accident scene. According to the NYPD, NYPD officers arrived at the fatal accident scene at around 4 in the morning last Sunday. According to the 911 caller, there was a severe motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Halsey Street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
According to NYPD officers, they arrived at the accident scene, and found a 45-year-old man with severe head trauma. EMS raced the accident victim to a local area hospital, where the victim tragically was pronounced dead. Law enforcement officials were able to identify the victim.
The NYPD reported that a preliminary investigation concluded that the motorcyclist was riding a Suzuki motorcycle when the motorcycle collided with a dark-colored car. The car’s driver did not remain at the deadly collision, officials said.
The NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad is continuing to investigate the collision. No arrests have been made in the case.
