A large recall of about 124,000 T<"https://www.yourlawyer.com/practice_areas/product_liability">risonic Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs has been implemented due to fire hazard, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) just announced. The CPSC is advising consumer to stop using the recalled Trisonic Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs immediately and notes that it is illegal to resell or to attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
The recalled Fluorescent Light Bulbs may overheat and catch fire. To date, the firm has received four reports of incidents, including two fires that resulted in minor property damage.
This recall involves Trisonic 15-, 20-, 22-, and 25-watt compact fluorescent light bulbs with the model numbers TS-EN 15W/SP, TS-EN 20W/SP, TS-CFL 22WB, or TS-EN 25W/SP printed on the base of the bulb.The recalled Trisonic Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs, which were manufactured in China and imported by Eastern America Trio Products Inc. of Flushing, New York, were sold at discount stores in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut from January 2008 to December 2008 for between $1 and $1.50.
The CPSC is advising consumers to immediately stop using the recalled Fluorescent Light Bulbs and contact the company for a full refund.
