The importer, PBteen, is a division of Williams-Sonoma Inc., of San Francisco, California.
The PBteen Ottoman Beds fail to meet the mandatory federal open flame standard for mattresses, posing a fire hazard to consumers. To date, no incidents or injuries have been reported.
This recall involves mattresses sold as part of PBteen Ottoman Beds with registration number CA -31586(TW). These are multi-functional ottomans that can be used to sit or sleep. The ottoman can be turned into a twin-sized bed. They were sold with a cover in stone, navy, ivory, or pink. The ottoman cover has a tag that reads “PBteen” and a label with registration number CA-31586(TW).
The recalled PBteen Ottoman Beds, which were manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at the PBteen catalog and Website from August 2008 through November 2009 for about $300.
