About 29,000 <"https://www.yourlawyer.com/practice_areas/product_liability">Pampers® Natural Stages Infant Ortho and Bulb Pacifiers have been recalled for choking hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) just announced.
The recalled Natural Stages Pacifiers, were manufactured in China by Tahoe Enterprises of China and imported by Key Baby LLC, of Lutz, Florida. The CPSC pointed out that Pampers® licensed its brand name to Key Baby.
The recalled pacifiers fail to meet federal safety standards and pose a choking hazard to young children. To date, no incidents or injures have been reported in connection with the defective pacifiers.
The recalled pacifier comes in yellow, pink, or blue and is made of silicone. Only “Stage 1” pacifiers are involved in this recall. The words “Stage 1” and “Ortho” or “Bulb” are printed on the package and the recalled pacifiers have an oval-shaped mouth guard and “Pampers” molded on to the handle side of the mouth guard. The product comes two per package.
The recalled Pampers pacifiers were sold at retail stores, nationwide, from April 2010 through February 2011 for about $6.
The CPSC is advising consumers to immediately take the recalled pacifiers away from infants and to contact Key Baby for instructions on returning the product for a full refund or a $10 coupon toward the purchase of any Pampers® Natural Stages products. The CPSC also notes that it is illegal to resell or to attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
