Tumblekids Toys have been recalled for choking and laceration risks, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) just announced.
About 31,000 Tumblekids Toys are involved. The TunblekidsToys were manufactured in China by Lishui Treetoys Trading Co. Ltd., of China and distributed by International Playthings LLC, of Parsippany, New Jersey. The recalled toys were sold by juvenile product stores, mass merchandisers, and other stores nationwide and on various websites from March 2011 through December 2011 for between $14 and $35.
The defective Tumblekids Toys can break into small pieces with sharp points, which poses choking and lacerations hazards to children. To date, the firm has received one report of a toy breaking into small pieces. No injuries have been reported.
This recall involves all Tumblekids toy vehicles and playsets, including the farm playset, the fire station, the police car, the roadster, the off-roader, the fire truck, and the school bus. The toys are wooden and painted in bright colors and range from 6 to 12 inches in length and 4 to 9 1/2 inches in height. The words “Tumblekids” and “Made in China” and the manufacturing code “171111461502” or “346101461502” are printed on the toys. The item number and UPC are printed on the toy’s packaging and are, as follows:
