
Automotive Pneumatic Roller Seat Recall
According to a recall notice published by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Harbor Freight Tools has recalled all Pittsburgh Automotive Pneumatic Roller Seats due to a defect that can cause the user to fall and sustain injuries. The seat’s product registration number CA-44417 is located on a white label placed on the bottom of the seat’s storage tray. The recall notice states that the connection between the seat to the seat post could break, causing the user to fall and sustain injuries.
The CPSC report states that Harbor Freight Tools has received about 96 incident reports concerning the seat’s welding breaking and users falling and sustaining injuries.
These recalled Pittsburgh Automotive-branded pneumatic roller seats are red and have a 15 to 20-inch pneumatic lift range. The seats also come with a black storage tray that can be found above the seat’s wheels. The seat’s item number is printed on the front of the black storage tray, and the UPC number is printed on a label underneath the unit. Only roller seats that have the following UPC numbers are being recalled:
- Item Number: 61896, UPC: 792363618960
- Item Number: 46319, UPC: 193175340764
- Item Number: 63456, UPC: 792363634564
The Pittsburgh Automotive Pneumatic Roller Seat recall affects approximately 478,800. Purchasers can contact Harbor Freight Tools for a free replacement seat or a refund placed on a gift card.
